Key Accountabilities :
Oversee daily operations of the SOC, ensuring effective monitoring and incident response.Track operational metrics, KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities.Implement security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.Coordinate with other departments to enhance overall security posture.Conduct regular training and awareness programs for SOC staff.Analyze security incidents and provide reports to senior management.Mentor and train SOC team members to enhance their skills.Coordinate with business and service providers to resolve service issues.Ensure 24/7 availability of SOC services and resources.Maintain SOC processes, procedures, playbooks, and guidelines.Lead multiple teams during security incidents.Oversee completion of the day-to-day checklist(s), including log review, management report scheduling & running, alert analysis, and escalation follow up activity status.Ensure effective management of cyber threats and continuous improvement of SOC architecture.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science.Proven experience in security operations, incident response, or related roles.Strong knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and technologies.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PNPT or GCIH) preferred.5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles.3+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position.Proven experience in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, SOAR, ).
