What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Assist in the development of large language model (LLM) applications for social science research Collaborate with faculty and researchers on data analysis projects Engage in programming tasks primarily using Python Participate in the evaluation and fine-tuning of LLM applications Support the creation of evaluation pipelines and agent-based frameworks

What Is Required (Qualifications)

Must be an undergraduate or master's student Strong programming skills in Python Familiarity with machine learning libraries or NLP tools (e.g., PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain) Ability to work part-time during Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and Fall 2025 semesters Willingness to undergo background checks in accordance with university policies

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Prior experience developing LLM applications, such as prompt engineering or fine-tuning Experience with data analysis in a research context Knowledge of social science research methodologies Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous involvement in academic research projects
