Job Title : QA Engineer - Data Testing and Reporting

Job Type : Contract/Part-Time

Experience : 10 – 15 years

Location : Remote

Responsibilities

10–15 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on Data Testing / ETL TestingStrong expertise in SQL (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning)Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, etc.)Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery)Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExperience in data testing automation frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ, etc.)Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas)Strong knowledge of test methodologies, defect management, and QA lifecycleKnowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)Understanding of data governance, lineage, and data quality toolsLead end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting systemsPerform complex SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysisDefine and implement data QA strategies, standards, and best practicesDesign test plans, test cases, and test automation frameworks for data systemsLead test execution, defect management, and quality reportingWork closely with data engineers, BI developers, product owners, and business teamsBuild and maintain automated data validation frameworks using Python/SQL/toolsEnsure consistency across multiple reporting layers and data martsPerform UAT support and business validation

Qualification

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
