What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile medical records Perform injections and assist with medical exams and procedures Prepare and clean exam rooms, ensuring a sterile environment Submit medication prior authorizations and report abnormal lab values Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers

What Is Required (Qualifications)

Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or ability to achieve this within 6 months of hire Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team Ability to recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and report them accurately

Experience in a healthcare setting as a Medical Assistant Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Bilingual skills, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations
