What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Respond to patient and guarantor inquiries regarding billing issues, including payer denials and demographic updates Provide timely and professional account reviews, ensuring accurate billing and resolution of inquiries Utilize Epic billing systems and other support systems to identify and resolve patient account issues Maintain high standards of customer service while effectively managing communications through calls, emails, and correspondence Document all interactions and maintain an accurate audit trail of account actions
What Is Required (Qualifications)
High School diploma or GED equivalent required 1-3 years of relevant experience in customer service or collections in a healthcare setting strongly preferred Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required Knowledge of Epic billing systems preferred Associates Degree preferred
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in medical billing and insurance processing Demonstrated ability to resolve complex inquiries independently Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Prior experience in a call center environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
